The Animal Care and Facilities Committee has no recommendations on the video taping of animals except that they may be used as a legitimate alternative to the use of live animals where appropriate for the goals of a specific course. Faculty are advised that video tapes have been used by animal rights groups for the purpose of attacking animal research. Video tapes should be kept secured against possible theft.
